This workshop will focus on crafting both synopses and query letters that will entice editors, agents (and later, readers) to read your work. We’ll cover everything from standard query format, to conveying your hook, to coming up with the perfect log line and will discuss synopsis requirements, length and how to keep them from reading like a how-to manual. Depending on the interest level of those in the workshop, some time can also be spent discussing how to find the right agent or editor for your work. Some opportunity for critique will be involved with extra critique available at a discounted rate for workshop attendees.
